The Austin Business Journal recently held its 24th Annual Profiles in Power event. Lucy O’Brien, the Director of SEO at MediaSmack, and Amanda Snowden, the President of MediaSmack, were nominated. The Austin Business Journal recognized 109 inspiring women who are striving to make a difference in Central Texas. Lucy O’Brien and Amanda Snowden made the cut.
The female nominees for this year’s Profiles in Power event work in multiple career fields and have demonstrated leadership through multiple platforms. Some of the nominees attended the Profiles in Power – Central Texas Women of Influence event on August 23, 2018 at the JW Marriot in Austin. There were five winners and twelve finalists. One of the nominees received the Rising Star Award.
President Amanda Snowden said “It is such an honor to receive a nomination for such a prestigious award. I feel fortunate to be in the company of such amazing women, particularly our own Lucy O’Brien who inspires me every day.” Amanda Snowden recently stepped into the role of President of MediaSmack at the end of June 2018, and she has represented the company extraordinarily since then.
Lucy O’Brien said, “I am honored and humbled to be included as a nominee alongside such inspiring women in the Austin community. I am especially pleased to have been nominated alongside our President, Amanda Snowden, from whom I have learned almost everything I know. She makes being a powerful woman look easy!”
